Not a huge amount going on to be honest. The snow didn't stay for long and the ground is too hard to turn over so it's far better to let the water trickle down through the soil, freeze, expand and therefore help to break up the claggy soil. Clever huh!

Off site I've decided to do a charity hike raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. It's 26 miles along the very hilly Jurassic Coast, so for the time being I'm going to use my weekends building up my hiking stamina. Amy has agreed to do it with me. Not only is she ace to have helping out on the allotment but she's bloody brill at hiking and map reading!

A quick visit did bring instant happiness from gloriously sunny daffodils. Is there anything better to bring a smile to your face on a gloomy February day! Also I'm pleased that covering my blueberry bushes has meant they are in leaf 😊
