The shed in place, just the rest of the beds to go. I still can't believe there's a pesky piece of grassy soil left. Will this never end? As it's supposed to be a dryish week this week, I decided to go to the allotment every night after work to get the final patch dug over. This way it should all be cleared by the weekend. The weekend should be dry which should mean I can get the rest of the beds made.
This is the last week of BST so realistically I had an hour each night to dig before it got dusky/dark and I couldn't see what I was doing. Si joined me and with great effort we could gradually see the 2 metre square remaining patch diminish to beautiful reddy-brown soil.
I never doubted the plot would reach this point but there were many a time that I would look over and see the area still not dug over and still covered in plastic. Si and I really had a feeling of satisfaction to see all the grass, weeds and docks finally gone!
