I like to start each of my gardening sessions with a clean slate, so having got rid of so much waste, Amy and I got dug in. The usual process of digging up docks and nettles and horrid grass that seems to have a matted mess of roots under the surface, so thick that your fork doesn't go through. We soon needed to down tools and tuck into the tuck box, less the spiders..

What I've noticed with gardening for beginners is that you have great plans about how far you are going to get and you never quite get there. Yu start off full of energy and even with having plenty of breaks and stretches and a change in task, your back does start to ache and your energy levels do start to run out and you never do get to the end of the section you were planning on finishing! Please don't let Si know I allowed Amy to have breaks, otherwise he will want them too!

By 5pm we were done in and decided to call it a successful day and head on home for a fruit based drink for the lady. I swear my doorbell never rings but yet again I found myself doing a double take to make sure Amy was lounging on the garden sunlounger with cider in hand. Yep, she was. I opened the door to find my all time favourite and fabulous sister Ju (and equally fab) brother-in-law Leon. They were in the area, having just begun a new and exciting adventure of their own! Sharing stories of new hobbies, Ju handed me a present, which just like a 4 year old, I ripped open with gay abandon. My very own Tahiti "It's a Magical Place" t-shirt!!!!!! Love, love, love! Of course Ju and Leon understood the reference from the offset, so I proudly put on my SHIELD t-shirt and then made us all walk to Tahiti!

I think Amy probably wanted to stay and drink cider but happily came along for the outing. Well you can never tire of going to Tahiti, can you?
